I've been meaning to make chocolate chip cookies for a while now. I had all the ingredients, I just kept putting it off. I was tempted to just buy cookies but it's not the same. I like homeade cookies much better. Today I finally made the cookies.
Here is my lovely cookie batter. My brown sugar was a bit chunky and one of my eggs was bad but I managed to leap those obstacles without too much trouble.
These are my cookie balls that I made with my garage sale cookie dough scoop. I am going to freeze them so that I can have fresh baked cookies for weeks. I can just take out a couple of frozen cookie balls and cook them up in the toaster oven for fresh baked cookies.
Here is a batch of cookies cooking in my toaster oven for this week's lunches.
And here is the first batch on the plate which I have already started tasting. Mmmm.

I could never make a batch for the week. It would just be a batch for the next 30 minutes.
Yes, if chocolate didn't keep me up at night I would eat a lot more. I only eat them at lunch...and sometimes breakfast.
Do you follow the normal baking directions when baking the cookies in the toaster oven?? I have never done that but it would be wonderful to bake cookies in the toaster oven instead of the oven for these hot summer days!
It takes longer to bake them in the toaster oven and if they are frozen I have to make a little foil tent so they don't burn on top.
It is definitely too hot to be baking in the oven here. Plus my little RV oven runs on propane and I don't want to have to buy more.
I've seen people bake cookies in a solar oven but I'm not that patient.
