Gave In To Cell Phone Marketing

I have had my cell phone service for about 8 years now. It is the original phone too. It's big and bulky and people make snide comments about its size but I love it and it's mine. So, even though I have a $100 phone credit with my phone company, I have resisted getting a new phone. For one thing, I hate to get rid of something that works fine. I have seen a lot of people go through phones that die or break but mine still works great. Also, I would have to buy all new accessories for a new phone like a car charger and carrying case. Plus, I would have to sign up for a 2 year contract and I am not sure that I want to keep Verizon. I am always looking for something better.

But this weekend I got a letter in the mail that said I would get a month free just for signing up for a one year contract. I was reluctant at first but it won't change my phone plan and I don't have to change phones so I did it. I can use the money and I probably won't make a decision about changing companies for another year. Now, what to do with the $35? I don't know yet but I am sure I will think of something!
