Hoping for Rain

The temperature dropped 20 degrees from yesterday. I borrowed a pressure washer to wash out my big water tank but it's hard enough to wrestle that thing without the wind. Maybe it will rain and then I will have some extra water to use for the pressure washer. I only have enough water right now to last until the summer rains, unless I haul it from somewhere (another chore).

I didn't do any shopping this weekend. The stores are 20-40 minutes away and I just didn't feel like using the gas. That means I will have to swing by the grocery store on the way home from work but I will save on gas because I won't be making a special trip from home just for carrots. If I hadn't frozen my big bag of carrots when I had to switch fridges, I wouldn't have to go to the store yet. Oh well. I have this Friday off of work so I can make the long trip to Walmart for the other things that are running low.

What else did I do this weekend? I packed up a box for my niece who is in college. I'm not going to send it until after spring break but it is a major accomplishment for me to get it packed and ready to go. I remember how exciting it was to get packages when I was in school. My niece has a kitchenette in her dorm room so I am sending cake and cookie mixes so that she has something to do when she is procrastinating. It's going to cost a small fortune to ship but that's what aunts are for, right?
