Why does Christmas shopping always sneak up on me? It happens every year, I shouldn't be surprised. I guess I under-estimate the actual number of real shopping days left. Saturday is really my only good shopping day. Therefore, I only have 9 shopping days left. Plus, I don't like to shop when it is really crowded so I can cut those days in half. What! Only 4 shopping days left! I had better get organized.
Another problem, besides under-estimating my shopping days is that I start shopping before I decide what to buy people. Then I run out and shop for one person, call up another person, decide on something to buy for them, run out to the same store, and repeat. I always seem to end up shopping at Walmart on Christmas Eve. That is especially annoying when I go back to Walmart to return items after Christmas and see everything that I just bought, on sale for 75% off! Every year I think, why don't I do my Christmas shopping after Christmas? But I don't do it because I don't know what people want. This is a vicious cycle.
Well, this year I am starting a little earlier than normal. At least it is before Thanksgiving. I am going to make a serious effort to get my list made and get those presents purchased so that I don't have to spend Christmas Eve at Walmart. That is my goal!
