Monday-Eve Again

Another weekend flew by.  My sister and her friend came to town and we celebrated my mother's birthday with a turkey dinner.  I spent an hour attempting to glue my mom's St. Francis statue that had blown over in the wind.  My fingertips were covered in super glue and they still would be if my sister hadn't suggested sanding them with an emery board.  It worked great.  The St. Francis' birdbath didn't go back together exactly as it should.  A few pieces were missing.  I think some paintable caulk and some touch-up paint would fix it right up but that is a project for another day.

Today was a relaxing day.  I watered the garden, pulled some weeds, picked some orange-red tomatoes before the birds got them and dehydrated some turkey strips for dog treats.  I bought some expensive dried chicken dog treats (last month) and I don't know which of the additives are the cause but they give my dogs horrible gas which is unpleasant to say the least.  I thought that buying True-Chews made in the USA instead of China would be better for the dogs but certainly not these.  I should stick to dehydrating my own turkey.  The dogs love them and there are no smelly side effects.

9 more days of work until I get a 3 day weekend.  Yay!  I think I can make it.

And don't get me started on the dog hair! But I love them anyway.
