Crossed Another Chore Off the List

I just wanted to mention that I finished painting my shed so I can cross that off the list.  I couldn't have done it without my mother's prodding.  It took a lot of work even with 2 people.  She was a big help.  I don't think I would have even made it out of bed if she wasn't so enthusiastic about painting.

I know, I know.  I finish one project and immediately jump in to the new quail project.  Can I help it if this is what I do for fun?  Some people like sports, some like hiking, I like odd little projects from home improvement to animal husbandry.  I showed the pictures of my new quail around work today and only my boss really thought it was great.  The others just think I am crazy, I guess.  I find myself trying to explain to them but it is hopeless because they will never understand why I think these projects are fun.  Of course, these are the same people who couldn't imagine retiring early or with less than millions of dollars in the bank.  I guess I am just weird.

I also gathered up the 4 dog houses that have been collecting rain water, harboring black widow spiders, and sheltering rattlesnakes and brought them back to my house to sell or give away.  It will be good to get rid of them.  I added more screws to the panels that are covering the water heater closet.  Hopefully they will keep out the rain until I can come up with a more permanent fix.  Most of the urgent chores are done out at the mobile home.  I shouldn't need to go back there for a few weeks and when I do, I can leisurely clean and organize, I hope.

Daizy, you wear me out just reading about all of your chores LOL! I can't imagine having all those things to do all the time.

I wish we had a picture of you in your painter's outfit swinging that paint brush and getting paint all over you.

BTW you are not weird, :)

Ha, Dave, my painter's outfit is the same as my work outfit. Old jeans and a bleached stained shirt. Short sleeves though because it is still in the 70's here.

Lizzie, luckily the snakes are sleeping but I'm still careful where I step because it has been so warm here I'm afraid they will wake up.
