Barely Time To Sleep

It has been so busy around here.  I can't seem to find the time to write.  My sister and her family came and left.  It was really fun to have them here.  I took a couple of days off of work but one of those days I had a dentist appointment and then parent/teacher conferences that took half of the day.  Luckily, my nephew is doing better in school now that I have taken over as his homework monitor.  All of his teachers said that he is improving and they are happy to have him in class.

Our bathroom project is ready for paint and decoration.  We still need to buy a step for the shower.  I am looking at those exercise steps.  I think one would be just the right size.  I haven't decided if I want to go out to my property (I haven't been there a long time), go shopping for the new laundry area (we need shelves and some sort of countertop, or go get a new foster dog (um...probably not yet).  I also want to go to the thrift store for some Fall clothes but the weekend is too short for all of that.

I have some big bills coming up.  I have 3 property tax bills now.  2 for my property and 1 for my rental house.  That's about $3,500 total.  I only have to pay half now and half in April.  I usually pay the whole thing in December but I might do half and half this year.  Next week I am getting 2 teeth pulled.  I still have wisdom teeth and one of them has been broken for a while.  It started to bother me so I went in to the oral surgeon and they will pull the top and bottom one for $500.  I could get all 4 pulled but I am a scaredy-cat and only want to do 2 at a time.  Maybe next year I will get the other 2 done.  If that one tooth wasn't broken I would never get them pulled.  I'm not looking forward to this.

I had my only 2 wisdom teeth pulled back in 2008. I had them pulled one at a time because they were on opposite sides of my mouth. This way, if I had any discomfort I would be able to chew on the other side.

For tax purposes, you might want to have all 4 pulled, even 2 at a time, by the end of the year so you can deduct any out-of-pocket expenses more easily on your tax return.

Dave, I am more worried about sleeping than chewing but yes, that was my idea too. I want to be able to have one side of my face that doesn't hurt.

Lizzie, I certainly wish I had more fun stuff to look forward to instead of bills and dental work. I need to think a little harder about some fun.
