Getting Through The Chore List

This morning I got up early and rounded up my momma dog and puppies for their vet appointment.  I tried to get them all in to my car but momma and one puppy escaped and trotted down the road ignoring my pleas to stop.  Finally the puppy stopped and I scooped her up.  Momma dog thought about it and then decided that she would come back and check on the puppy.  Whew.  Nothing like chasing dogs down the street at 6:30am to wake me up.

I made it to the vet on time and got them all checked in.  Then one puppy went to work with me and, after an initial 30 minutes of whining, the puppy decided that it was ok that her siblings were not around and she went to sleep and slept most of the day.

We left early to pick up the rest of the gang and to get shots for the puppy that went to work with me.  Momma dog is looking quite miserable after her spay surgery.  I'm hoping that everything is ok because I don't want to have to go back to that vet.  It is quite a drive to get there.  Plus, I already have an appointment at lunch at a different vet for my own dog who is limping.  If I miss too much work I will have to take a vacation day.

On Saturday I have an appointment for my truck.  It is squealing again.  It's a different squeal than last time when it was just the belt.  I hope it isn't too expensive.  After that I will be taking the puppies to an adoption event to hopefully get them adopted.  I would love to be puppy-free next week.

I got the quote for my patio cover.  It actually wasn't that much more than I expected.  For a 10'x20' patio cover it is $1,900.  I decided that I need to fix my car and fix my dog before I spend that much money on a non-essential item.  I also thought of another cheaper plan to create shade for my patio door.  It involves waterproof awning material from ebay and a lot of grommets.  I think my fourth of July is going to involve a lot of do it yourself projects.  Oh and he quoted $130 to put the AC in the window.  That's expensive so I am going to try it myself.  This should be interesting.

I like the morning exercise routine. great fun!

Lots of DIY coming up. Wont be long until your nephew is old enough to start helping, honest!

So your your truck sounds like your dogs now? No rest for the weary. I don't know where you get the energy to do all of these things at once and in the summer heat!

Oh no Lizzie, that is not a morning routine I like but it sure did raise my heart rate!

Dave, I stay inside and think up all sorts of things that I need to be doing outside and then go out and melt and decide that those things weren't really important after all.
