No More Puppies For A While

All of my puppies were adopted! I knew they would go fast. I'm very happy for them and also happy that none are going home with me. Potty training is a lot of work and a lot of cleaning.

My other 2 dogs didn't get adopted. Well, one almost did but the people wanted him to be an outdoor-only dog who guarded their chickens. We aren't allowed to adopt out outdoor-only dogs and I really don't think he would have done well with chickens.

I have a backup plan in case the keys for the gate locks on my new house aren't found. My realtor said that I might get the house keys as soon as Tuesday night so if that happens I will stop by Harbour Freight, the cheap tool store, and buy some bolt cutters. I saw some online for $12. That way I can cut off one of the gate locks so that the electric company can get in to the backyard to read the meter. I don't want the power getting shut off and then getting charged a turn on fee just because they can't read the meter because the gate's locked.

They are so cute. I can see why they went so quickly. It's going to be a long week this week as everything rolls along

I feel stressed out just reading about your house move. You must be exhausted with it all. Hope it goes through ok and you'll be set up in your lovely new home soon. Jules Uk

OHHH!
It is down to the wire and I am getting nervous. (AND it is not even my house!)
Can you borrow a set of bolt cutters from someone at work?
Your new neighbourhood?
BTW get a locksmith and change all the locks on the house first thing.
We did when we moved in and it was great because all of the first month we had neighbours dropping of their spare keys to the place!
Ask the locksmith if he has bolt cutters.Fingers crossed!

Jules, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I think the fun part is almost here.

Anonymous, there is a guy at work that has every tool I can think of. I'm hoping he has some but just in case, I can buy some on the way there. It will be too difficult to try and coordinate the locksmith without taking another half day off so I will do that a little later when I can combine it with another chore. If I don't get possession of the house on Tuesday I will just have to put off the electric company for a few days, hopefully without incurring a fee. We will see.
