Vacation Fun

I'm here at our rented beach house looking out at the wind, rain, and coooold weather even though my nephew insists that it is warm compared to Washington State.

Tonight I had the bright idea that we should all go to the end of the pier and have dinner at the restaurant. It was windy when we left. We had a nice dinner of cheeseburgers and milkshakes and it started to rain...hard. By the time we left it was really coming down and we had a long walk back.

The waitress gave my mom a plastic bag to use as a poncho and bags for her shoes. We finally made it home and put all of our wet clothes in the dryer. These are what memories are made of right?

If I could ask, where did you find your rental home? I am writing an article for my readers about frugal vacations and would love to know how you found yours.

Lizzie, well, we didn't catch pneumonia, just a virus. Ugh. Memories for sure. Not necessarily good ones though.

Frugal Gal, It was all my mom's doing. She grew up there and wanted to go back one more time. I heard it was expensive. The Frugal thing would have been a house swap or something...assuming one has a house worth swapping.
