Little Bit At A Time

The landscapers chopped my tree back to a size suitable for a suburban yard which is fantastic. One less thing for me to worry about. No word on my short sale house. That is good though because I am paying my property taxes now which means I wouldn't have a lot of extra money to increase my offer if necessary. Tomorrow is payday. Yay. Once I get these taxes paid my balance should finally start to increase...oh, except that the holidays are coming. That means travel and gifts. Well, maybe next year I can save some money.

Sorry, same thing happens to me. You aren't going to be rich, life just happens!

It sure does, especially when one had an emergency fund as low as mine.

Daizy, did you get your October rent on time? With that somewhat erratic additional cash inflow and lower expenses due to the mortgage paid off, your EF should get rebuilt in a hurry, right? [I know I have mentioned this to you before, but I think it bears reminding again.]

My net worth went zooming up after I became debt-free back in 1998.

Dave, the rent is late again this month. But the real reason is that I am determined to pay my property tax early instead of half now and half by May. I only got $500 from the escrow account when I paid off my mortgage plus I used all of my saving to pay off the mortgage so paying $3,000 right now is taking everything I have. Of course after that I will be able to save...oh, um, and after the holidays.
