Saturday Chore Day

It is a lovely lazy Saturday. I choose not to go to any adoption events today and instead stayed home and did some chores. I rarely turn on the TV anymore so I heard about the shooting of our Congresswoman and others from Facebook. The details on Facebook turned out to be more accurate than CNN or the local news. It was so sad to hear that a child and a judge has died so far. I hope the other victims are able to make a full recovery.

That news certainly put a damper on the rest of the day but there were chores to do and dogs to tend. I transferred the water from my collection tanks to the holding tanks. I got one load of laundry done. I put up my indoor/outdoor thermometer that I got for Christmas. It is close to 5pm now and it is too late to start any outdoor projects. What I really need to do is cook some chicken, cut it up and freeze it. I have been buying frozen dinners, pot pie, and mac and cheese for lunches because I haven't had time to cook. This would be the perfect time to cook. It will have to be on my electric stove top because I am super low on propane in the RV. That's on the chore list for tomorrow, get propane, take back heater that isn't big enough, buy new heater, get new dog a bath. That seems like a doable list.

The shootings have been a top story here in New York, too, as well as on all the Sunday morning talking head shows which were not pre-recorded.

I thought about you when I learred of the tragic event in Tucson although I could not remember what part of AZ you are living in. Was Ms. Giffords your member of Congress?

On a lighter note, I'll be cooking chicken (cutlets) later today, too.

Dave, yes she is our Congresswoman. Funny, I wasn't really paying attention to politics until this happened.
