Monday Blues

This week has started off badly again. I have got to find a new job. Of course I am a creature of habit so that will be difficult. The dogs were fighting again so I had to put the big one in a muzzle. After a frustrating day of work I went to the grocery store for a few items and to deposit the rent (ok, that was a good thing). Then I raced home and walked the dogs while it was getting dark. It is so frustrating to spend all of my daylight hours in an office and then have to come home and do chores in the dark.

Oh well, Monday is just about over. I have to get up early tomorrow to drop a dog off at the vet. I hope I am not late for work. I don't want to get in trouble again.

So hard to put a lid on the thing you *like* to do, because you have other things you *have to* do, huh?
I know how it feels.
Persevere! :-)

I agree about getting home in the dark after work. This is the most depressing time of year for me. I work until 5:00 and have almost an hour commute home.It is starting to get dark about 7:15, so if I have to make a stop I get home in the dark also. It feels like I should be getting ready for bed as soon as I walk in the door. When I leave the house in the morning it is almost dark. Luckily, that will change in about a month when we "fall back" with the time.

What is it about your particular job you do not like? The boss and/or co-workers?

Like what Dottie said, I hated getting home from work when it was dark. Even worse was not leaving my office until after it got dark, mainly in the winter months when it got dark here before 5:30. It always "seemed" later because of that.

KoBold, yes, work is getting in the way of my fun. I must quit now!

Dottie, it does seem late when I get home. I rush to walk the dogs and then it is dark and it is only 6:15.

Petunia, there are some coworkers who are annoying. I think the worst part is that they just don't seem to have a good system in place. Mistakes happen and don't get caught and then it's a witch hunt for a person to blame. They call it 'running lean'. I call it, 'no one to help you'.

Dave, it is so depressing. Oh well, some day I will be like you and be in control of my schedule and daylight hours.

Working in a night shift would return your daylight hours to you.

KoBold, a night shift would work. Even a 1/2 hour would help but in order to get off work 1/2 hour early I would have to come in 1 hour and 15 minutes early. My boss is funny that way.
