Too Many Critters

So far the store-bought traps are working about the same as mine. The wasps are ignoring the traps and are busy adding a guest house on to their vacation home. It will probably be another 6 weeks at least before it gets cold enough to make them leave. The flies think the dog poop is more interesting than the traps. At least the ants appreciated my trap in the tree. It wasn't meant for them but it worked anyway.

I was doing laundry in the garage and noticed a lot more packrat activity. When I went to turn the dryer on something ran out and scared me. It was a momma packrat with 3 babies hanging off of her. Then daddy packrat ran out and glared at me. I'm sorry to break up a family but after that I put poison blocks around. They will probably get back at me by dying in my dryer. That's what the other ones did in my car. I really need to consolidate my stuff and buildings. Everything is getting ruined by packrats and they are making a big mess. My garage is not doing me much good if I can't make it packrat proof. The one thing it is good for is water collection. Maybe if I removed a wall then the packrats wouldn't think it is so cozy inside.
