Some Days I Feel Like This

The pile of work on my desk was still there waiting for me today. I was able to get some of it done along with the usual day to day requests. I also had a little time to look at the news and saw the article on The Consumerist about the Jet Blue flight attendant who quit in a way usually reserved for the movies. After a passenger wouldn't remain seated and hit the attendant in the head while getting his luggage from the overhead compartment and cussed at him while refusing to apologize, the flight attendant returned the cussing, opened the door (they had already landed), deployed the emergency slide, slid down and ran to his car and went home. I wish my job had an emergency slide. Its a good thing it doesn't. I would have used it long ago. I hope he has an emergency fund!

I AGREE! Somedays are just harder than others.
I think he should loose his job, however I do not agree he should be charged or sent to jail. He just used very bad judgment.Even Jetblue said in their statement that at no time were customers or staff ever in danger.
Heck,f I were on that plane...after I finished laughing myself silly... I would have slid down the slide after him if it would have gotten me off the plane and home quicker.
I hate waiting to deplane... Everyone immediately jumps ups and races to get there bags down like it is going to make things go any faster.

I think that flight attendant is going to use his emergency fund to hire a lawyer!

Dottie, I read today that his mother is dying of cancer. I can definitely see how that could contribute to his actions. Life is too short to put up with some people's rudeness. I hope his 15 minutes of fame gets him some cash and a new job.

Dave I think you are right. Maybe he will get a movie deal out of it to help pay for the lawyer. He should at least get on some talk shows.

yes, no doubt his 15 minutes could easily lead to several years of his jetblue salary if he plays his cards right.
