Definitely Monday

The day went pretty well. I started unpacking my office but I want to get some bookshelves instead of stuffing everything in my desk drawers again. It is so quiet and isolated in this new building. I can't listen in on anyone's conversation anymore so I have no idea what's going on.

After work I had to unexpectedly drive across town to ferry some dogs. There goes the gas money. I promised myself I wouldn't spend so much in September. Now I need to go to bed since these dogs wake up early.

I just stumbled across your blog and I love it! You're inspiring. You mentioned at one point that you use laundry water to water your plants. How do you do that? What about the soap?

Let's Be Self-Sufficient, glad you like it. I collect my laundry water in a big trash can and then transport it by bucket or if I have a lot of water, by pump and hose to my trees. Here in the desert, the sandy soil acts as a filter and the trees love any additional water they can get. It is easy to buy biodegradable laundry soap with no phosphates. They say not to use laundry water on vegetables but I do use my sink water on them.
