Free Time, My Favorite

I made it through another week. We are supposed to have cooler weather, 89 degrees, so maybe I will get some laundry done. I need to do at least 3 loads. That's what happens when I skip a week. I don't have any other plans which means I can do what ever I feel like doing. It certainly is nice to not have to go anywhere once in a while. There is a big dog adoption event across town but my girl isn't well enough nor is she spayed so I don't have to go.

My boss asked me if I still had a 5 year plan for paying off my mortgage. I said yes, but now I hope to get it paid off by the end of the year. He was surprised and amazed. I don't know if it was a good thing to let him in on my mortgage status but he is very interested in people's lives (I really mean nosey) and it seems to make him happy to know what is going on. I definitely want a happy boss. He said that our company was doing well and we should get a good bit of profit sharing this year. I don't get excited about profit sharing because it goes to my 401k and then I watch it go down with the stock market. I want the money now. Besides, we don't get profit sharing until February and that's a long way off.

One thing is for sure, a nap will be in order tomorrow. Even though these dogs get me up at 6am, they are quite willing to join me in an afternoon nap. I had better go take them for a walk now before it gets dark.
