Dog Days Of Summer

Two days down, three to go. My plan to stay away from the grocery store isn't looking very good. I am getting low on a very important staple...dog food! In the meantime I am supplementing their diet with watermelon rind. Who knew they liked the stuff so much?

Propane is getting very low for the RV fridge. Getting propane is an annoying chore and one that is even more annoying in the heat. I have moved my freezer food in to the fridge in the mobile home because it would be a tragedy to lose ice cream to a warm freezer. The refrigerator items can go in my mini-fridge if they fit. I should just bring them to the mobile home once and for all.

I read another blog today, can't remember which one, that talked about the opting in or out of the overdraft protection. seems it was a government initiated mandate to reduce fees from the banks. I am happy with my opt-out choice. I'm not sure how much my bank would charge for overdraft protection but it seems like $30 is what most banks charge.

I checked the 10 day forecast and saw rain predicted for next Wednesday. I hope they are right. I will water my trees this weekend with the water from the greenhouse and use up the rest of the jacuzzi water for the RV. I'm expecting a lot of rain this summer because last year's rain was so light. Of course that means the road will wash out. I guess I can't have it both ways.

Maybe I should cook them dinner to extend their dog food. Too bad I don't have any steaks.
