Rain...It's About Time

It wasn't raining when I got off of work but it is supposed to rain for the rest of the week. That was incentive enough to get as many chores done as I could. Checks deposited at the bank, grocery shopping done, 5 gallons of water filled. Then I came home, unloaded the loot, scooped the dog poop, fed the dogs, glued a cap on to the open end of my old plumbing and even filled up my RV water tank in the dark. I thought, I could do it now in the dark or do it tomorrow in the dark when it is raining. Hmm, I choose to do it now.

That only leaves, get gas in car and stop by the hardware store to buy drain pipe and other misc. items to hook up the other sink...as long as it doesn't get too expensive. I should buy enough to hook up the shower too but I am not organized enough to know what I need for that. That's ok though because this is a project that changes as it progresses. Buy too much now and I'll just end up returning it.

The next item to look for on craig's list is a window. The old aluminum window frame is still intact but the glass is gone and a piece of plywood is screwed over the hole. When I bought my property and met one of my neighbors, one of the first things he said was, "are you going to do something with that ugly plywood?". So far I have only painted the outside. It still looks awful. I need to go look at windows at Home Depot. The windows that I see on craig's list are quite expensive and I want to compare quality, size, double vs. single pane so that I know what a window is really worth. Home Depot has some inexpensive ones but I want to be able to get out of the window if I have to so it can't be really small. Also, I want to put my window air conditioner in it but if that is too expensive I will buy a medium sized window and put the AC unit through the wall. I don't know, I haven't put a lot of thought in to it yet. My mind is still trying to configure the shower and sink drains.

Tomorrow the boss won't be there so I get to wear jeans. Something to look forward to even though the weekend is still 3 whole days away.

You are defintiely progressing with things at the moment. No wonder you dont need the gym (like you had time to go anyway). You will have the skillis to set up a construction company beofre you have finished.

Ya Lizzie, maybe I should start building a real house next!

Over the Cubicle, it was tiring. If only I could get the dogs to help bring in the groceries. I wouldn't even mind the slobber.

Has that rain arrived after all?
We have snow now.

Yes, KoBold, we are finally getting some rain. And tonight we even have a tornado watch (which just means we have a lot of wind). 200+ gallons of water collected so far!
