Clock Watching

What a slow day. I took my bag of freezer food to the work freezer today. I didn't tell anyone that I put it in there. Hopefully they won't throw it out before I get back. Around 3pm I got a flurry of emails and phone calls looking for last minute updates on projects. I didn't have time to do them all so I can only hope that the people that sent them are going on vacation next week too.

Now that I am home and I don't have to work tomorrow I want ice cream. Unfortunately, my freezer is empty. That means I can either go to the store, go to Dairy Queen, or do without. I think I will have to do without. Next week should be full of Christmas goodies so I'm sure I can survive one day without dessert. Maybe I'll make do with popcorn.

Tomorrow I must take the dogs to the dog sitter and pack my suitcase. Those are the only "musts". I want to sleep in and I want to work on one of my projects...either the wall or the fence. Any progress will be a bonus. I am just very happy that Friday is here and so is my vacation. Yea!

A full work week off plus two weekends. How nice! Those of us who have to work Monday will be jealous.

Finally I am the envy-ee not the envy-er! What happened to your Mondays off? The only bad thing is that I am burning up a whole week of vacation at the beginning of my year. Only one week left until Dec 8, 2010. :(

Just a normal 8 hour day Monday with the two holidays at the end of the week.

Have fun on your time off!

2 holidays? You get Eve off too? I only get one day.

Yep. We get nine a year. I think eight is more normal. I am grateful to be not normal in this case.

Not long now. Have a lovely time with your family. I have work up until lunchtime on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately we are so busy at the moment that I have work to at home tomorrow, which isnt really great for the week before christmas when i would prefer to be doing stuff here at home, but that is how it goes. At least we have snow on the ground and it looks pretty!

Over the Cubicle, I thought 10 holidays was the norm. I know, I should be glad I get holidays at all.

Lizzie, working up til Christmas eve? Bummer. I hope you find time to do all you shopping and Christmas prep.
