Easy In, Snail's Pace Out

Buying stuff is so easy to do. Just buy it and bring it home or get it delivered. On the other hand, getting rid of stuff is a chore. I can haul it to the dump (a lot of work plus $10 a load), give it away if it is still usable (manual labor involved), or sell it. Selling it is great but time consuming. I have 2 items on craig's list right now, both furniture. I can't lift either of them myself so that means I have to wait for people to email me, arrange a time for them to come out, explain how to find the place, and help them load the things. It takes patience. And then there are the people who don't show up. So far one person didn't show up, one wants to come out tomorrow and another is interested. I will be thrilled when that stuff is gone and I get more space in the mobile home.

In other random news, I bought a house coat today. It's all part of my transformation in to a crazy cat/dog lady. Just kidding. My boss was saying that house coats should never be worn outside and he was so horrified by the thought that a co-worker and I decided that we should wear house coats to work for Halloween. I paid $8 for one at a discount store near where I work. I'm sure I could have found one cheaper at the thrift store but I don't have time to go there since I'm working Saturdays. I suppose $8 isn't bad for a costume. I have slippers and curlers to go with it already. It's a small price to pay to scare the boss. :)

That is classic, the boss will freak out! One year for Halloween I dressed up in a robe, put curlers in my hair and a mud pack on my face. I handed out candy and the moms thought it was hysterical...one said it was like looking in the mirror ;)

ha! 8 dollars to drive the boss crazy sounds like a bargain.

good luck with the furniture.

Big Sis, we thought about the face mask but that seemed a bit messy. That is great that the parents were scared and the kids probably didn't understand why.

Over the Cubicle, still no buyers. Maybe I should re-list it.
