Careful What You Wish For

A few days ago I was lamenting that I was over budget with no new money coming in any time soon. Yesterday a guy from my old job called and said they needed someone to fill in on the weekends for the next 3 weeks. This is a great opportunity to catch up on my bills and maybe even afford a few more squeaky balls and doggy treats. It's what I wanted, kind of. It also means giving up my precious weekends, not getting to sleep in for a month, doing my chores(laundry and filling up the water tanks) in the fading sunlight after work, not having time to cook, and an hour commute each way. It is certainly hard to keep my time and money balanced. I will have money but no time. Or I could have my weekends free but no money.

I'm going to try it out, starting tomorrow. I hope I remember how to do my old job and that time flies by. It is hard not to pre-spend the money in my head. I hope I can make it through the next 3 weeks and I come out on the other end with a little more breathing room in my budget.

Daizy when that happens you need to negotiate your hourly wage right then and there. I hope you're getting paid well for missing your weekends.

KoBold, I just can't resist when people beg...and are willing to pay.
