Mid-Month Stretch

My computer has started this cute little habit of freezing up when I close certain internet sites. Then I have to do the control/alt/delete thing and shut down Internet Explorer. Then start it up again. Sometimes it will connect and sometimes it just sits there. It makes writing on my blog a lot more tedious.

Anyway, the weather is getting in to the mid-nineties again so it is hot. I was hoping I could keep the AC off for the rest of the year but it is not to be. I know that it doesn't really cool off until October I don't want to accept it. Luckily my used fan motor replacement is still chugging along. So far it was a good choice to go with the used part.

The month is almost half gone and I don't want to add up my expenses. I think I have used up all of my September budget already. I guess the good thing is that I don't need anything right now. The only thing that I will definitely run out of is drinking water. But the water machine takes nickels and dimes and I'm sure I could scrounge up enough change for 10 or 15 gallons of water to get me through the next 2 weeks. Other than that, I have plenty of propane, rainwater, food, gas, clothes, deodorant, toilet paper...all of the things that make life comfortable. I even have plenty of dog(and cat) food and treats. Now I just have to resist the temptation to shop.

This free software worked wonders on stabilizing my computer:

I downloaded it then ran all of the utilities. World of difference. After that I got the extra memory.

I can't believe September is halfway over already.

I'll have to try that. I tried 2 other things recommended from a coworker, Spybot and something else I can't remember. They drove me crazy with the questions. I don't have time to sit there and approve every thing my computer does.

Not really any questions with this one. Plus it has a registry repair tool which did the most to help me. It says it found and fixed thousands of error. The spyware stuff really didn't find anything.

Uhoh...seems to be stuck at 99% setup. Do I stare at it all night or go to bed? I'm thinking bed.

You should try Firefox or Google Chrome. They are much more stable than Internet Explorer.
