I Need More Treats

Dog treats. I am running low and when puppies don't have something to chew on, they chew on stuff they shouldn't. This morning I put both puppies in the bathroom. I put all of their treats and toys in there too. The bathroom has 2 doors, one side has a real door, the other side was blocked off with boxes. Evidently, Jojo was not deterred by the boxes and managed to get out. She was roaming in my mobile home all day without anything to chew except MY STUFF!

First she chewed some extra wood trim. Then one of those bath puffs, a few tapes from the 90's, a plastic bag, some foam and the worst thing...she chewed the end of the cord right off of the humidifier I had just borrowed to help Reagan's cough. And today I had just gone over to the Habitat Store and bought another humidifier, exactly the same, so that I could return the one I borrowed. Now I have to give my friend some options, take the one I just bought, buy her a new one, or replace the cord on hers. Of all the things she had to chew.

Jojo is beginning to be a handful. I need to step up my puppy security. Reagan is still calm and sweet and likes to sit in my lap or maybe she is just trying to get away from Jojo who likes to maul her all the time. Right now Reagan is stretched out on the floor while Jojo is occupied by a chewy bone. I need more of those. I don't want to think of what will happen if I run out.

The other bathroom door has been reinforced now and hopefully Jojo will not be able to roam tomorrow. That means she can torment Reagan all day long. Poor Reagan. Just 2 more days until the weekend and then I can work on that outdoor kennel again. I hope I can make it Jojo proof.

JoJo has that look. The one where she knows she is cute and can get away with anything. Those toy balls that you can put a treat inside of can keep pups occupied for a while. I bet kitty could keep them in line when you are away.

I'll have to check out those toys. There is no way I could leave them in my RV. Kitty would not protect my computer!

Well, if it makes you feel any better, Jojo sounds like a pretty normal puppy. That probably doesn't make you feel any better.

Nylabones (the plastic-y looking ones) were always a lifesaver with my pups. They still love 'em. They last a long time, too. The bigger the size you can get, the better (Target and Walmart have the best prices, but Petsmart and Petco have the best selection).

Thanks Tessie, I'll have to try those. I thought I was buying something similar but they turned out to be edible and only lasted an hour or so. I need more than an hour!
