The Spirit Of Giving

I spent almost 2 hours staring at Amazon last night. It is a gamble to buy books as gifts that I haven't read or even flipped through but I wanted to buy SOMETHING for my sick nephew and, of course, I had to buy enough to get the Super-Saver shipping! I bought a dragon book that was to be from my sister, 2 football books and an Archie Comics digest. At least he'll have something to look at when he gets out of the hospital. I just hope they don't get back-ordered. That would be bad.

My renters stopped by today and dropped off a pecan pie that they baked for my belated birthday. That was really nice. I left it at the office so that we can all eat it for lunch (or breakfast) tomorrow. This is the second time they have rung the doorbell at work and both times the boss had to answer the door. I wish my renters had a cell phone so that they could tell me they were coming over so I could be waiting for them. I don't want to get in trouble for doing other business on work time. Maybe he won't be mad if he eats some pie tomorrow.

Dragons, sports, and comics! That is the trifecta for young boys. You're a good aunt!

Not even a boss could stay mad in the face of a homemade pecan pie. These tenants seem about as opposite the previous one as can be possible.

I hope he likes them. It was hard to find a balance between not too baby yet not too adult!

My boss will probably eat the pie and complain that it will make him fat. Never happy!

Hard to believe your tenants not having cell phones. Over here there are more cell-phones than people. (Well, statistics say so.)
With prepaid subscriptions availabe for peanuts, I have even seen homeless people using cell phones, apparently their own.
I guess this could be called "falling over the horse to the other side..."

Pecan pie. Sounds yummie.

I know KoBold, it is hard to believe. Even my parents have cell phones now.

You've never has pecan pie? It was tasty. I think this is only second time I've had it.
