Pre-Monday Chores

I'm back from my friend's house. She left for vacation yesterday. I collected the mail and the newspaper and the phone book outside her door. Those chores were easy. Then I started my own chores. 3 loads of laundry (I brought my sheets and blanket), dyed my hair (good thing I didn't spill!), took a long hot shower, and raided her fridge. Don't worry, she knew I was going to do all of that...well, maybe not the hair dye part. I brought the half gallon of milk and 3 old oranges back home with me. They wouldn't survive the week.

I also filled up 20 old one gallon ice tea jugs, one 3 gallon camping container and one 5 gallon bottle for my drinking/cooking water. All of that hauling from the faucet to the truck made me tired. Then when I got home I carried them to the RV. Who needs a gym? If everyone had to haul their own water I bet they would learn how to conserve really fast!

I was tired after all of that hauling but then I had to put my laundry away and make my bed. How come I'm always tired when I have to make my bed? Now I am writing this post while I cook chicken and rice for my lunches this week. What I really want to do is make a rootbeer float, curl up on the couch and watch tv. But then I wouldn't have anything to eat for lunch and I would be tempted to buy a sandwich from Subway for $5 plus a drink, plus chips which is more like $8. I'll be good and make my lunch.

What color did you go with on your hair? :p

People at work go to subway 3 or 4 times a week. There isn't anything much else around except for fast food, but they could probably do a whole week of lunches for $8 if they tried. Or 4 lunches and then eat at Subway the 5th day for $16 total.

I'm trying to go a little darker blonde. It was getting too light. I only did a touch up though. Everytime I do a touch up I think I'm going to get a stripe down my head but I never do.

Subway is right across the street but so far I have resisted. I have gone to Taco Bell though. That I can't resist.

Hmmm-

If you have one of those hand dollies or basket shopping carts it makes the hauling a little less tiring, plus you can cut down on the number of trips back and forth.

Hi Bugbear, I do have a hand dollie but those iced tea bottles don't stack well. A cart would be perfect. I only do this chore 2 or 3 times a year so it isn't that bad. I can carry 3 bottles at a time and didn't even drop one on my foot...although I came close to it.
