Looking Forward To Christmas

Two things in the news caught my eye today. The computer virus that is supposed to strike tomorrow, April 1st, and the extra money that will be in my paycheck soon.

I read up on the first one, and they said that if my computer received Microsoft security downloads in March then it should be protected. The first thing I did when I got home was to check. I went to the start button/settings/control panel then to the security center. My download history had plenty of March activity so I should be protected.

Tomorrow is also payday. I don't know if I will see an extra $15 like the government promised because it depends on how fast my company changes my withholding but I am hopeful. I am not going to add that money to my budget. It is supposed to add up to $400 for single people by the end of the year. I'll just put it out of my mind and if no other big expenses come up during the year, I'll have an extra $400 for the mortgage. That will be a nice Christmas present to me. :)

Christmas - whew, we just got done with winter!

I'll have to wait until next week to see the extra money. Pay day was last week. No raises this year, but if I was going to get a raise, it would have started next week too, so maybe this will feel like a small raise.

I am not looking forward to another Arizona summer...or the electric bills.

Too bad about no raise. I won't hear that bad news until September.

I am just happy to have the job.

You could always sell your house and travel 'round the US in that camper van until the economy picks up. :)

I've thought about it. Not very seriously though.

It's good to have options!
