Erasing Bad Memories

I went to my rental house after work and gazed upon what a normal house should look like after normal people live there for a month. Un-made beds, a few new spots on the carpet, some leftovers in the fridge...normal stuff. It was sooooo very nice. It's not that I was worried that they would trash the place like the last people, I knew they wouldn't, it's just that those images of my house in utter disarray and that horrible smell will be a hard memory to erase. It helped to see my house again. I told myself, see, the house is fine. Those bad memories are just bad memories. I checked everything out and then decided to come back to my RV for the night. I didn't feel like cleaning and I sleep better in my little RV. Tomorrow I plan to start washing the sheets and towels and perhaps I will stay the night. I have a whole week to get my house in order so there is no rush.

Nice to hear. Closure is a good thing.

Hi there-oh what a relief that things were ok for you, especially after everything you've been through.

Hooray! I am glad you had a happy ending after the "good" renters left.

Hey there. Glad to see your home was not trashed again. I was thinking of you last night as I pulled up a web page I thought you would be interested in looking at. If anything, it will give you some good ideas on what you can do with your little shed. www.tumbleweedhouses.com check it out and let me know what you think.

Those spots might actually be the ones from your original tenants coming through again. In my experience, that sort of dirt can be cleaned but will not disappear.

Over The Cubicle, it will take a while for those memories to fade but seeing it again helps.

Sharon Rose, a BIG relief. I am ready to move on to the next chapter with this house.

Big Sis, yes and hopefully the new tenants will be good and stay a long time.

C and H, I love those tumbleweed homes but I decided they were more than I could afford. Used RV's are cheaper (but not as pretty, especially on the outside).

Anonymous, some old spots definitely came back. There were some new ones by the door, probably soda. They blended right in with all of the other spots. good thing the carpet is brown already:)
