Holding My Breath

In case you are wondering what is happening with my rental house, well, I will tell you. Tomorrow is the day that they are supposed to call me and tell me the house is mine again. I am actually a little optimistic. I talked to her today and she told me her kids were starting at their new school tomorrow. They have settled in to their new apartment. Now they just need to get the rest of their stuff out of my house. She said she would call me when she was finished cleaning the house, probably late in the day. I really want to believe her. It would renew my faith in people again.

Maybe tomorrow I will have a really really happy post.

The very best of luck to you. Fingers, toes, and all that are crossed.

Thanks. And I will try to remember to breath once in a while.

I must admit I have been holding my breath. Let us pray!

They hadn't actually paid you rent in the past two months, have they? I must admit I originally was feeling sorry for them that they were getting kicked out for the short term renters - but that changed when they stopped paying rent.

Yes Anonymous, I am praying hard. I hope they are honorable people in the end.

I should have know in July when I reduced the rent because their roomates moved out. Aug rent was short. Then Nov. Dec. were just promises. I thought I was helping them by giving them more time but it looks like I was just putting off the inevitable. Like someone told me...if you can't afford one months rent, how are you going to afford 2 months? They wouldn't have had any money for Jan. either.

It sounds promising if the kids have transferred schools.
