Time For Those Insurance Premiums To Go Up

It's that time of year...time for the meeting with human resources and the inevitable news that those medical insurance premiums are going to cost more next year. We had donuts and cookies at our meeting. Not very healthy but I don't argue about free food(usually). I worked the increase in to my budget and it won't do too much damage to my plan. Remember how I had a whole $28 left over every month for fun money? Well, now it is only $18 dollars a month. My health insurance increase came out to $10 a month.

I will try not to go too wild with my $18 a month. Like my boss says, it is still enough to get Netflicks! He thinks I should get Netflicks but I refuse because I don't have time to watch movies and I don't want to pay for them. I am content with free TV. If I start looking at movies that I could rent I might start wanting them and then spending money on them and then wasting time watching them! Oh how horrible! :) But really, I don't have time for that right now. Maybe after I'm semi-retired.

lol at the trying not going too wild with the $18.

Mine went up $10 as well, but per pay period. $20 per month. With the tax break, just $15 a month take home.

Donuts and cookies...mmmmmmmm. My theory on free food is that it can't be bad for you because, well, it is free. The logic is less than sound, but I like it anyway.

That's the second day of donuts! And I am determined to finish off the orange juice someone brought with the donuts. Last year I forgot about it and a year later it was chunky....ewww.

Did you do the free trial of Netflix? You can watch all the movies you ever need to see in that month and never need to watch a movie again for years. I did it with Blockbuster and was not tempted to join at all. If I want a movie I go rent one from the library for $1 or $2.

I like the free food cant be bad for you thing. I had a 'chinese food has no calories if you order it when you have been drinking' thing going on when i was younger.

My son watches films & series on the internet. I am sure its legal, its looks it (or am I just really gullible - i am starting to think that might be it actually)Oh dear. Maybe not uch a good idea.

Hello Big Sis, this would be a good month to have a free trial since I have so much time off but I'm supposed to be cleaning or painting a shed or something:)

My library is 25 minutes away. Someday they'll build one closer, maybe, or not.

Hello Lizzie, my boss told me how many calories were in the cookies and I told him that the broken cookies are calorie free. I don't think he believed me.

I tried watching TV shows on my computer but I just wasn't that interested. I usually have the TV on while I surf the web so it was hard to watch the show on the computer and surf the web at the same time! I'm hard to please :)
