Snow Day In The Desert

Yesterday I posted a picture from 2 years ago of snow on cactus. Today it has been snowing ALL day. The temperature is in the low 30's so the snow isn't sticking on the ground but it is fun to see.

The postman left a note in my mailbox on Christmas Eve that said I had a package. I don't know why he didn't leave it in the package box. Maybe they were all full or maybe the package was too big. Anyway, I was pretty sure it was cookies from a friend so I had to brave the snow and rescue my box from the post office today. I know, you people who live in snowy parts of the country think I am crazy for worrying about a little bit of snow. But last year I was sliding all over the road because they don't salt/sand/plow roads at all here. The snow doesn't last very long but while it is here it can be dangerous when it freezes. I was watching the temperature hoping it would go up but it started to drop so I went out in the slush and successfully rescued my cookie booty. Yum!

Now I have chocolate AND cookies. So, my resolution to eat healthy starts when? Maybe next week :)

Hi Daizy
You can hibernate in the snow now, all you need is cookies and chocolate!

Hey Sharon Rose, so, if the cookies and chocolate are gifts does that mean their calories don't count? I think so!
