Relaxing On A No-Shopping Sunday

It is very nice to have all of my Christmas shopping finished but I have to admit, it doesn't feel like Christmas. I didn't decorate my little RV because it has enough clutter. I wanted to put up my big Christmas tree but there isn't enough room for that. I don't see Christmas decorations unless I go to church or shopping. Since I did all of my shopping on-line, the only place I saw Christmas decorations was at the grocery store. I'll have to remember that next year. If I stay home again...if I want it to look like Christmas, I have to decorate!

Anyway, it was a beautiful day today but we are supposed to get more rain on Tuesday. Last week when the storm came through there was something blowing in the wind and making a tap-tap-tap noise right over my bed. It drove me crazy! When the wind stopped, I forgot about it. Today I remembered and climbed up on to the roof to check it out. It seems the vinyl trim had come loose and was blowing in the wind, tapping on the roof above the bedroom. This was another casualty of sun damage from living in the desert. I cut the loose piece off and hopefully the problem is solved. I won't buy replacement trim until I am going to sell the RV. No sense in putting up more trim for the sun to eat.

This week is only 2 days long...yeah! I wish every work week was only 2 days. No, I wish I didn't have to work at all! Hopefully, some day soon, work will be optional!

More rain here last night, and temperatures down to the teens tonight. At least it is cold enough to be Christmas.

I would like some more rain. Are you saving it for me?

I haven't saved any yet, but apparently there is plenty more on the way. How much do you need?

That's gonna be hard to fit down the chimney to your RV. You do have a chimney right? :)

I think we are finally caught up for the avg rainfall this year, after having been in a drought for a long time. It will really help TVA fill the dams.

Nice repair.

In the future, instead of cutting the trim off, you could get weatherstripping adhesive at an auto repair shop (the stuff an auto body shop attaches rubber moldings to car doors and such with) and glue it back on. I believe it will stay on a long while with that stuff.

Not every auto place has it, just the ones that sell to professionals in my experience. Autozone, for example, will not have it. But the shop your car mechanic orders parts from probably will.

Hello Bugbear, sometimes I try to stuff the trim back in its track but this time it was so old it cracked and broke so it was better to just take it off. I'll have to take it all off when I replace it anyway.
