A No Shopping Saturday

I am not shopping today. I have enough stuff.

The clouds are building for another thunderstorm. I hope we get more rain today. I turned my drip system off and I don’t want to turn it on for a while.

I dragged out my carpet shampooer and removed some stains from my carpet. I notice them every time I walk by. I am glad I bought that machine. I think I have gotten my money’s worth out of it. The only thing I regret is that I saw a better version of it (it had a heater) for the same price at Big Lots a month later. But I try not to think about that and be happy with the one I have.

I totaled up my budget and if I don’t spend any money for the rest of the month I will have enough extra to pay the escrow bill for my mortgage, $186. That is good, although I was hoping to pay off my RV fridge repair. I still owe $450 for the $800 repair. Boy, Rv’s are expensive! I borrowed the money from myself and I am not charging myself interest. I just won’t allow myself to buy any extras until I pay myself back. That means no computer memory upgrade for probably another 2 months. I seem to only have $200 left over each month for non-essentials. My electric bills have been close to $200. That’s what I get for living in the desert. That bill will go down in September.

That’s all for now. Time to go practice being contented with the stuff that I already have.
